APPEARANCE HEIGHT: 2'2ft at shoulder; 4'1ft body length; 3'6ft tail length WEIGHT: 100lbs VOICE OVER: Todrick Hall ONE LINE DESCRIPTION: A pale strawberry leopard with silvery eyes. To call Aja unique wouldn't be doing him justice. His appearance is just as much a statement as his personality. Starting with his size, Aja is small for a male. While he still has a good chunk over your average leopardess, he is a scrap next to most males. With a long, slender frame, and delicate features, he could almost be mistaken for a female. And he's quite proud of that fact. Large, rounded ears top his head, holding a flower crown atop his skull made of a variety of brightly colored flowers. He bears a striking gaze of these blue, almost silvery eyes. But perhaps the most striking is the color of his spots. The familiar rosette pattern that adorns most all leopards isn't that rich black on tawny most come to expect. Aja is almost sandy in color and his rosettes and spots are made up of a light, brown hued tone. Strawberry leopards are few and far between and he loves the attention for it. His left ears is also almost solid white, the eye spot consuming much of the space, leaving a dark ring around the edge. PERSONALITY Loud and proud, Aja knows how to make an entrance. He is almost always happy to be the center of attention, regardless of it's context. Admirers and haters alike, he's just happy to have the eyes fixed on him. This kind of attitude can be off putting to some. Those that aren't his biggest fans often receive unpleasant attention from him in return. He is well known for getting up close and personal with his fellow Dynasty mates. There is no such thing as personal space with him around, however, it's not all bad. Much of the time, he's happy just to nap against any of the larger members of the Dynasty, though not everyone appreciates his friendliness. While a skilled hunter, he doesn't particularly enjoy the activity. Hunting for a leopard is a lone endeavor and for one who hates to be alone, it's not the most appealing activity. It takes some insisting to get him to actually go out and perform his duties and so he's often seen as lazy, though he makes up for it some. He is not much of a caregiver to the young in a parental sort of way, but he is good at watching after them and entertaining the young while the caregivers are away. It's perhaps this that has kept much of the 'lazy' scrutiny off of his back. LIKES: attention, flowers, bright colors, soft rain DISLIKES: Dull things, being alone, hot days SKILLS: Hunting, Charming, FLAWS: Can be abrasive, needy DREAMS: To find a lover who will care for him. FEARS: To be alone, exiled, ignored. He fears isolation. HISTORY The start to Aja's story is surrounded in misery. He didn't originally come from the Dynasty and he is reluctant, almost afraid to speak of where he came from, but perhaps much of who he has become is rooted in those times. It all began with a single lone Jaguaress. With no mate around after the fact, she was condemned to care for her unborn children on her own. She was a spiteful woman, vemon soaking her tongue when ever she opened her mouth. Planting curses where she walked, praying for the world to be colored ash. She had a tendency to chase off those who dared try to get close, their kindness smelling like rotten flesh to her scared nose. And she was scarred, her rosettes overshadowed by tiger stripes the color of flesh decorating her skin. She was rather unremarkable to look at in all honesty, average in most every aspect except the large amassing of scars she bore, though her left ear was solid white, a trait she would pass on to one of her offspring. Angry and alone, the Jaguaress Fah gave birth to three children. Two jaguars who seemed like carbon copies of their mother. Stock bodies with rounded features and dark black markings. But the third was much smaller than the others, a leopard like the absentee sire, but his pelt was a pale golden hue like a sand from a crystalline beach, his collection of rosettes a rich umber. In the eyes of his mother Fah though, he was a stain, a reminder of her own mistakes. It did not take long for her to start taking her distaste for leopards out on her own son. She would starve him and push him away from her other two cubs at night, marking a clear separation between them. As they grew into youths, she had on more than one occasion, carried the discolored Leopard cub off and leave him in strange places only to have him come crawling back to her. The leopard, who she named Sampah, a name that literally meant trash, became starved for attention from his own family. At only 5 moths old, young Aja was once again carried off by his own mother, but he was unable to find his way back this time, left alone and afraid in a place he didn't know. It wasn't until a large Lion found his small frail crying under a tree that his luck in life would change. At this point, Aja had only really known his mother and litter-mates, and in an instant, his world expanded into an array of colors and shapes beginning with a large lion whose head was surrounded by a thick mane unlike anything he'd ever seen. He was hardly a scrap in the mouth of the male as he was carried back to the group he'd later learn was called Skotadi. It's here that he was met with apprehensively open arms, but arms nonetheless. The unknown youth was met with more love and care from this group of strangers ranging from lions, tigers, cheetahs, and more than he ever did from his own mother. He was pressured constantly about where he came from and where his family was, but he never would tell them in fear of being returned to her. He remained silent on the matter, even refusing to tell them his own name, instead seeking attention from who ever wasn't asking him at the time. Finally deciding they didn't have much choice but to adopt him into the dynasty. It was her, prancing around as if he owned the place, that he gave himself a new name. He declared himself Aja despite the care givers insisting that he should pick a different name. Years down the line, he still hasn't taken their advice and is forever known as Aja. Just that was his only name for a long time. He didn't have a family to get a family name. It wasn't until the lion who once rescued him decided to pass his name onto the young leopard, gaining the name Vittar, that he finally felt like her had a family. He never put much weight into names as he didn't have one, but this gesture from an old man filled him with a sense of pride. It felt like he had been chosen, someone actually wanted him to be a part of their family. Unfortunately, Malick Vittar, the lion who found and adopted the youth, passed away not long after Aja turned 2. The death struck him hard and ever since, it almost seems like he's trying to avoid that reality, once again refusing to discuss the tragic like he once did as a young cub when his own mother abandoned him.
